The Hazel Pattern
The Hazel is the ultimate flowy, comfortable, wearable piece that you can dress up or down. It features a tie neck yoke, balloon sleeves, and three voluminous tiers – with pockets, of course! To make the blouse version, simply make two rather than three tiers and hem.
Suggested fabrics: The designer suggests a medium weight, opaque fabric so you don’t have to line it (as it’s already a lot of fabric!). Also use a fabric that is relatively easy to steam to make ironing easier.
Fabric requirements: These requirements are for non-directional fabrics. If you decide to use a fabric with a directional print, you will require more fabric.
