The Hazel Pattern - Printed Copy
The Hazel is the ultimate flowy, comfortable, wearable piece that you can dress up or down. It features a tie neck yoke, balloon sleeves, and three voluminous tiers – with pockets, of course! To make the blouse version, simply make two rather than three tiers and hem.
Suggested fabrics: The designer suggests a medium weight, opaque fabric so you don’t have to line it (as it’s already a lot of fabric!). Also use a fabric that is relatively easy to steam to make ironing easier.
Fabric requirements: These requirements are for non-directional fabrics. If you decide to use a fabric with a directional print, you will require more fabric.
115 cm wide fabric: Blouse, 2.6 – 3.2 m // Dress, 3.8 – 4.9 m.
135 cm wide fabric: Blouse, 2.2 – 2.5 m // Dress, 3.3 – 4.2 m.
150 cm wide fabric: Blouse, 1.93 – 2.5 m // Dress, 3.2 – 3.6 m.
Sizing: 6 – 22
Notions: 1 m of 1 – 1.5 cm wide elastic; loop turner (optional).
Your order will include:
a durable, C4 size, expandable envelope containing your Hazel printed pattern and instruction manual
94 page instruction manual: Including detailed construction techniques with clear illustrations to help you create your Hazel, cutting plans for your chosen fabric width, fabric recommendations, sizing chart, how to adjust your garment to fit your body better, printing layouts and more.
