How To Make the Audrey Pattern

With 36 design options, the Audrey is a truly versatile pattern that you’ll be coming back to it again and again.

The classic Audrey style has long, voluminous sleeves which feature shirred cuffs and self fabric ties. The bodice is a high, round neck with a keyhole back opening and features a double wrap waist tie (and pockets, of course!). The hem can be finished with a tiered, gathered panel for extra twirlability.

The pattern includes sleeveless, short sleeves, V-neck, round neck, blouse length, A-line dress length and tiered hem dress length as well as being able to wear the garment with and without the waist tie.

This pattern caters to size 6-26.

RECOMMENDED FABRIC AND SUPPLIES

Fabric - The Audrey pattern is designed for a mid to lightweight fabric such as a linen or compact cotton. However you can make it in whatever woven fabric you like depending on the look you’re going for. Just remember, the stiffer the fabric, the puffier the sleeve. Also, if you have a heavier/thicker fabric, ensure to use a lighter lining for the neck facing and waist tie/cuff tie pieces.

Thread - You will need one large spool of thread for sewing and four spools of thread for overlocking. You’ll also need a spool of elastic thread for your shirred cuff.

Tools - You can use a domestic sewing machine with zig zag stitching capabilities. If desired, you can use a domestic overlocking machine to neaten your raw edges.

You’ll also need an iron, ironing board, sharp pair of scissors, rouleau loop turner and pins.
